Mortar & Pestle is a very precious tool for crushing and grounding either food, herbs, or seeds and other varieties of herbal and mystical medicine. It is recommended to not use the same mortar and pestle for edible and non edible mixtures. Made out of soapstone, a natural substance that may vary in color. Beautifully ornate with a Pentacle.

Great quality mortar and pestle. Truly. It's got a great weight to it and it feels comfortable in your hand. I did under estimate the size, I guess 4 inches is smaller than I thought. Still it will be absolutely fine for its intended use. I would say it can hold about 1/2 cup of product effectively without spilling over while grinding.
